The Florida Orchestra in Tampa will be premiering my new work the impending silence on their January 17, 18, and 19, 2020 concerts. The title is a reference to Beethoven’s eventually deafness and to my interest in sound that moves towards silence. The 6 minute work will open the concerts and outside of the title and several conceptual and formal references to Beethoven’s 9th is squarely within my aesthetic world. More here
