The Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO) presented the premiere of my work Music for a Child’s Story at the Wertheim Performing Arts Center in Miami on April 11 with a repeat performance on April 12 at the South Miami Dade Performing Arts Center. The work was part of a project between the MISO and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Dade County and was inspired by a short story “the Boy and the Magical Flower” with accompanying water colors created by a group of children from the Boys and Girls Club.
