I was awarded a Bogliasco Foundation Residency for April – May 2015 to begin working on a new work for 2 violins and orchestra for Igor and Vesna Gruppman. Igor is the concertmaster of the Rotterdam Philharmonic and his wife Vesna is also in the violin section – both are excellent performers. The premiere is tentatively set for 2016/17 with several orchestras and venues in Europe being considered. In addition, the foundation awarded me its Aaron Copland Bogliasco Fellowship in Music which will defray my travel and other expenses to/from and while in Italy.
