interdisciplinary works

Recent collaborations (2009-14) with Jacek Kolasinski (video), Campbell McGrath (poetry), Augusto Soledade (dance), and John Stuart (video and architecture). This includes works for sound, video, and/or movement premiered at the Cervantino Festival, Cannes Film Festival, SoundImageSound Festival, Florida Dance Festival, and the premiere at the 2009 Biennale in Zagreb, Croatia of a 75- minute experimental video opera. More recently segments of Parallel Universes for video, electronics, and chamber ensemble have been presented at the International New Music Festival in Lima, Peru and at the Cervantino Festival in Mexico. In December 2017 and January 2018 two site specific works commissioned by the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens were presented. The first of the two was an interactive installation placed in the museums music room which brought the harpsichord, harp, and dulcimer to life as museum goers passed by and the second a work performed twice in the pool grotto area for string trio, wind chimes, wine glasses and fixed media was created utilizing the resonant qualities of the space. Upcoming work A Rising Tide an evening long work being created with the support of the Knight Foundation Arts Challenge Grant. The work being created with the additional support of Faena Art will include video, electronics, instruments, vocalists, movement and text and is a collaboration with choreographer Augusto Soledade, poet Campbel McGrath, visual artist Jacek Kolasinski, and designer architect John Stuart. The work focusing on sea level rise was premiered in Miami Beach in May 2018.
