Lectures at the University of Costa Rica and the National University of Costa Rica accompanied by a concert of my works in San Jose, Costa Rica June 8 – 12.

Lectures in Guanajuato, Mexico October 22 Universidad de Guanajuato as part of the Cervantino Festival.

Presented a lecture on my work as part of the FEAST Festival held at FIU November 14

Lectured at the National Conservatory in Lima, Peru October 7 as part of the NODUS Ensemble performance at the Contempoarary Music Festival in Lima.

Presented a composition seminar at the Center for the Arts (CENART) in Mexico City, June 28, 29, and 30

Lectured at the National Conservatory in Morelia and the CNMAS June 2 and 3, 2009 where my works mixtura and temporal were performed.

Lectured at the Universidad Autonoma May 29, 2009 (Mexico City) as part of the Foro Internacional de Musica Nueva where my work mixtura was performed.

Lectured at the National University in Zagreb, Croatia 4/23/09 as part of the premiere of Transcending Time at the Zagreb Biennale of New Music.

Pre concert talk at the premiere of la intersección de tres mundos sonoros by the Dedalo Ensemble in Brescia, Italy 2/14/09.

Lectured and presented master classes for the NYU Graduate composition program 10/21/08 and for the Conservatory at Brooklyn College CUNY on 11/23/08.

Lectured and presented master classes at Brigham Young University 9/10 – 12, 2008.

Participated at the Soundstreams Canada New Models in Distribution Conference 5/22-25 held in Toronto. Invited as a guest delegate of the Miami ISCM section.

Participated at the SEAMUS National Conference held 4/3 – 5 at the University of Utah. Diffused the sound for the performance of mixtura on 4/4

Participated at the Society of Composers National Conference held February 20 – 23 at Georgia State University in Atlanta; performance of olas by Bent Frequency members on 2/22; master class presented at Emory University Friday 2/22 at 3:00 PM

Lectured and diffused the sound for the world premiere of my new work for flute ensemble islas for Pierre Yves-Artaud and his OFF (Flute Orchestra of France). The premiere performance took place 2/14/08 at the Cortot Concert Hall Paris, France. More

Presented lectures, master classes during residency at Cleveland State University 1/27-29. More

Participated at the ISCM World Music Days held 11/23 – 12/2 in Hong Kong (represented the FIU Miami section of the ISCM). Lectured about my work on 11/26 at Hong Kong Baptist University. More

Attended the European premiere of cuatro performed 11/5 by the Amernet string quartet at the Museo Esteban Vicente in Segovia, Spain. Residency completed at the LIEM (Music Technology Center) in Madrid 11/6 – 8 for the creation of the electronic part for the new work being written for Pierre-Yves Artaud’s OFF ensemble.

Lecture presentation: The Use of Silence and the Evolution of Time in Contemporary Music (lecture in Spanish) at the Cervantino Festival in Guanajuato, Mexico 10/17; premiere of puentes sonoros on 10/19.

Gave pre-concert talk on 9/24 at Haverford College before the premiere of Music for Italy performed by flutist Andrea Ceccomori and pianist Eliza Harbova. Presented master classes and lectures at Temple University on 9/25 and the University of Maryland Baltimore County 9/26. More

Lectured at LIPM (Music Technology Center) in Buenos Aires, Argentina 7/14-28 and worked at the center with visual artist Jacek Kolasinski on a new work for cellist Madeleine Shapiro. Attended the premiere of temporal (video version).

Prior 2006-07 Lectures and Related Events

Lectured about my music at the San Diego New Music Festival June 14 – 17, 2007 and attend the performance of my work el silencio despues de la lluvia.

Worked at the Centro Mexicano para las Artes Sonoras (CMAS) in Morelia, Mexico (5/27-31) on the electronic part of a new piece written for the sequenza sur ensemble based in Merida. The work is a commission from the ensemble and the Cervantino Festival for premiere at the festival in October 2007.

Lectured on my music and presented master classes at the National University for the Arts in Merida, Mexico (5/24-27). Also conducted a performance of my work horizontes imaginados, and diffused the sound for my work mixtura; both presented by the sequenza sur ensemble in Merida.

Presented a 4 day workshop on Contemporary Music and my work at the National Conservatory in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic 5/2-5; included the performance of olas and oscurecimiento gradual as part of a noontime concert held at the conservatory.

Participated at the Society of Electroacoustic Music in the US (SEAMUS) National Conference held at Iowa State University March 8 – 10, 2007. Diffused the sound for my work paisaje del sonido (version for contrabass and CD) presented at the conference.

Participated in pre-concert and post concert activities as part of a performance of my work Music for Segovia presented by Sequitur at Merkin Concert Hall in NYC 1/8/07. The concert and my work received a very positive review in the New York Times.

Presented a lecture on my work as well as music from the USA as part of the International ISCM Music Festival held in Bucharest, Rumania in December 2006. In addition to my presentation I attended the performance of my work silencios imaginados by the TRAECT ensemble, presented as part of the festival.

Participation at the International Computer Music Conference (ICMC) held at Tulane University 11/06. Diffused the sound for my work temporal presented at the international conference.

World Music Days in Stutgaart, Germany 7/06 –partcipation as part of ISCM General Assembly.

Lecture and panel participation at the National Conservatory to preview the performance of my work, vedute sonore da Bellagio, performed 2/23/06 by the National Orchestra in San Salvador, El Salvador as part of the International New Music Festival presented 2/20 – 2/24/2006.
