Visual artists and musicians approach images and sound in different ways. This concert features works by composers that have incorporated visual images into their music either by combining them with computer generated sounds and/or more traditional orchestral instruments as well as those that have collaborated with visual artists in the creation of their works. Works to be presented include those by Eve Beglarian, Kristine Burns, Orlando Jacinto Garcia, Dennis Miller, Judith Shatin, and Reynold Weidenaar. Initiated by faculty composer Orlando Jacinto Garcia, NODUS is the contemporary music ensemble in residence at Florida International University's School of Music.
